Humanist wedding Old Greens Barn – Annalise and Tom’s summer countryside wedding.
Old Greens Barn is such a fantastic venue, and I can see exactly why Annalise and Tom chose it as their wedding venue. It’s tucked away in the countryside, surrounded by trees, lakes, ponds and is also part working farm, so you also have the wonderful contrast and backdrop of rustic barns to spend your wedding breakfast in. Annalise and Tom chose to have a humanist ceremony in the beautiful big barn, and brought the outdoors inside with a stunning floral backdrop and decoration. Ginny Collins Celebrant conducted a wonderfully personal ceremony – I really love a humanist ceremony because the celebrants really do work hard to make it personal to you both as a couple, and I love hearing all the little facts that couples share with each other and their guests at this time!
I was so excited to see that Annalise had chosen to wear beautiful celestial accessories by a good friend of mine, Victoria Percival. Despite a hotel fire alarm chucking us all out halfway through getting ready, Annalise and her family made it to Old Greens Barn on time! After their beautiful ceremony in the rustic barn, Annalise and Tom had plenty of time to hang out with their guests before I took them on a stroll round the lakes and barns for some couple photos, and then back to the barn for a super fun wedding breakfast (carve it yourself roasts) and then on to a roaring evening party, again with plenty of time dedicated to just chatting with guests. Literally a perfect laid back wedding day!
This is the third time I’ve shot at this venue, and my first humanist wedding at Old Greens Barn – if you’d like to see one of my other weddings at the Barn, you can check it out on this link!
