Isle of Bute wedding photography – Amy & Oliver couples session
Isle of Bute wedding photography – Amy and Oliver wedding day 2 at Scalpsie bay beach, you can view their wedding day here.
I love the idea of a bride wearing her wedding dress more than once – I don’t believe it should be worn for just one day and then locked away forever! Amy and Oliver were totally up for getting dressed again in their wedding clothes the day after their wedding, and heading off to one of their favourite places on the Isle of Bute, Scalpsie bay beach. Amy’s sister Laura handmade her wedding dress, so it was an extra special opportunity to really show her dress off to the full (and thanks goes to Oliver for helping fling it in the air!)
There was gorgeous light at the beach, usually you can see the arran mountains in the distance, and you can see a faint glimmer of them here. It added a wonderful romantic atmosphere and an ethereal feel to the shoot overall.
I really enjoyed doing this second couples session, and I would love to do more! I would always encourage a couple to consider a second day shoot with no time pressure or guests to mingle with – just us hanging out and shooting some beautiful images of you alone together. Doesn’t even have to be the day after your wedding, there’s always a time to get your wedding glad rags back on and have fun – if it’s something you’re considering, do get in touch!
A big thanks again to Amy and Oliver for having me for their Isle of Bute wedding photography, such an incredible experience!
