Paradise by way of Kensal Green wedding – Ed and Nafissa have a huge love of the cinema and film, so naturally they made it a big theme in their wedding! They started off their wedding at the very funky Lexi cinema, where they had their ceremony in the screening room. Since this was their second wedding ceremony, they displayed pictures of their first ceremony on the screen for guests to view as they arrived. Ed and Nafissa are huge selfie fans, so they made sure to snap a few during the ceremony and on the bus to the pub!
The Lexi also featured again towards the end of the night, as Ed, Nafissa and their guests returned from their Paradise by way of Kensal Green wedding reception for a late night showing of a film. Of course, it being a wedding, the film had to be Bridesmaids! Guests were given “tickets” for the film as they arrived for the ceremony, and the film theme continued at their reception at the Paradise by way of Kensal Green pub with Bond names for all their tables. Instead of a traditional guest book, they laid out a vintage film postcard set, and asked guests to write them a message along with their film recommendations. I recommended Jurassic park 3 – only because it is actually better then everyone thinks!
Paradise by way of Kensal Green makes for a great London pub wedding venue, it’s such a cute and quirky space, it didn’t even matter that it rained almost all day at Ed and Nafissa’s wedding. We did a little couples session in a few of it’s funkiest rooms (my personal favourite being the blue room) before heading off for wedding donuts, dancing (guests performed the Saturday Night dance routine exceptionally well) and finally hitching a bus back to the cinema for movie fun and popcorn.
Ed and Nafissa, thank you so much for having me shoot your fun and cinematic Paradise by way of Kensal Green wedding, I couldn’t have enjoyed myself more! (and thanks for the selfie!)
