Oxfordshire wedding photography – Lucie and Alex had a fabulous wedding full of fun and games, mad wigs, and Marryoke! This was my second wedding at Friars Court in Oxfordshire. It is such a beautiful venue and so well run by Silver Pear Weddings.
Lucie and Alex are such fun couple that I knew their wedding would turn out to be an awesome day! They had a simple and beautiful ceremony at St Peter and Paul Church at Church Hanborough in Oxfordshire. They headed off to Friars Court in their own hired Jaguar (which Alex had been super excited about since I first met them I think!) while guests headed there on a big vintage bus for the reception. They laid on a lot of fun lawn games as well as having a marryoke team to film for the day. In case you’re wondering what marryoke actually is, it’s basically a wedding music video! Lucie and Alex chose ‘I knew you were waiting’ by George Michael and the filming team got all the guests to sing a line. I’ve popped a link at the end of the post if you want to see their final video!
After lawn games it was off to dinner and speeches, including some extra ones from guests who had to recount embarrassing stories about the couple – a fair few rude ones, hence all the shocked faces! after I look Lucie and Alex on a walk of the lovely grounds in Friars Court, it was on to the dancing and party time!
Lucie told me it was important for them to find a wedding photographer who fit in well with their fun loving family, and I hope I lived up to the job – everyone was so entertaining to photograph. Special thanks for Bella for being my second shooter for Oxfordshire wedding photography at Friars Court.
Thanks to Lucie and Alex for having me for their Oxfordshire wedding photography, and here’s a link to their final Marryoke wedding song by Spoolfrog!
