Natural fun wedding photography at Cooling Castle barn – Claire and Roy
Natural fun wedding photography – Claire and Roy’s rustic forest themed wedding at Cooling Castle barn in Kent.
Cooling Castle barn is a beautiful set of barns adjacent to the 17th century Cooling Castle, which I’m sure you’ll agree makes an awesome wedding backdrop! Claire and Roy’s wedding theme was rustic forest, and they incorporated a lot of gorgeous old woods, mosses, leaves and handmade decor (check out the childhood photos table plan!) into their wedding. The setting inside the barn was so gorgeous and moody, just the right atmoshere they hoped for. It really felt like being inside and old cabin somewhere.
Roy had given Claire a set of handwritten notes to open up in the morning on the run up to the ceremony, it was so cute watching Claire open and read them all – and a really creative idea too. Claire did all the bridesmaids hair as well as her own, and it was great so see how calmly she went about helping her own bridesmaids and Mum get ready. I was particularly excited for their wedding reception as I know Claire is a dancer, and she’d told me there would be a surprise bridal party dance. When the actual dance came about I was totally blown away, it was amazingly choreographed and seeing the groomsmen (and Claire’s Dad!) strut to Beyonce is most definitely in my wedding highlights of 2015.
Claire and Roy have a wonderful sense of style, and they were so much fun to shoot in the grounds of the barns with the gorgeous old Cooling Castle as a backdrop. In face I was so taken with the castle, we went back out at night to shoot another set of photos with it before moving on to some fun sparklers shots! Cooling Castle barn really is the ideal place for natural fun wedding photography and I really enjoyed the whole day from start to finish.
Couldn’t ask for a more lovelier couple or a more fabulous day!
