Woodland Weddings Tring – Lucy and Pete’s awesome colourful and fun outdoor wedding at Lila’s Wood – with welly wanging and swing dancing!
Lucy and Pete’s wedding was so bright and full of colour, and all about having fun with family and friends! They had a wonderful outdoor celebrant ceremony under a canopy in Lila’s wood, owned by Woodland Weddings Tring. They included an exchange of roses in the ceremony as well as a belting rendition of “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by the Beach boys, sung by all the guests. Their adorable son definitely stole the show during the ceremony, he was totally in love with Lucy’s flowers, and even stopped to have a quick play with a yellow truck half way through!
Woodland Weddings Tring is such a unique and fantastic venue, totally surrounded by trees and full of sweet little decorations and funky spots. There’s so many fun things to do – hang out in tipis, grab something from the gin bar, sit round a log fire or by the wishing pool, swing from the treehouse, just hang out in nature, go camping…you name it! Lucy and Pete had some cracking entertainment for their guests on top of all this, in the from of a hilarious swing dance lesson from Swing Patrol and a welly wanging competition with wellies Lucy and her bridesmaids decorated on her hen do. Funnily enough I have seen quite a bit of welly wanging at weddings this year – I think it makes for great fun for the guests, and Lucy, Pete and their bridal party all made sure they got properly stuck into the competition as well. The whole wedding was so laid back and fun, with such a happy atmosphere and emphasis on guests just hanging out and relaxing, I loved it!
They finished off their evening with some more fun swing dancing with a vintage band, sparklers and a very funky photo booth. Massive thank you to Lucy and Pete for having me at their woodland wedding, I had a cracking time!
