Beacon House wedding photography – Ann and Matthew’s fun and games on the beach wedding. I knew Ann and Matthew’s Beacon House wedding in Whitstable was going to be super fun as soon as they told me it was going to be really laid back and all about the beachy things – ice cream, fish and chips and holiday games on the beach. There’s literally nothing better than eating fish and chips on a sunny day right in front of the sea! Beacon House is a gorgeous large house right on the Whitstable beach, perfect for ceremonies and wedding receptions.
Ann and Matthew got ready together – the dynamics between a couple as they get ready together on the morning of their wedding is something I really enjoy being part of. Although Matthew didn’t get to see Ann in her dress before he left, he did have a helping hand with his hair and suit! Ann and Matthew are the first couple of mine to have walked down the aisle together, which again was really sweet to see and a lovely relaxed alternate to the usual tradition. In fact Ann and Matthew totally did their wedding their own way – no first dance, no sit down meal, no cake cutting – just a lot of quality time with family and friends and fun in the sun.
After their outdoor Beacon House wedding ceremony, I took Ann and Matthew over to the gradually forming spit known as “The Street” on Whitstable beach to make the most of those moody clouds, before they broke later revealing full on sun just in time for guests to hang out and sunbathe. I left Ann and Matthew watching the sunset with their friends and skipping stones in the sea – you couldn’t really ask for a more beautiful and laid back ending to such a fun day!
