Caswell House Wedding – Chiara and Dan’s fun and colourful crafty wedding
Caswell House wedding – Chiara and Dan’s super fun colourful and crafty wedding. This is my second wedding at the lovely Caswell House, a gorgeous barn surrounded by countryside in Oxfordshire. The venue is incredibly well run and I always enjoy shooting here, especially in the lovely rustic gardens and outhouses.
Chiara and Dan had loads of of amazing DIY touches in their laid back Caswell House wedding – I really enjoyed seeing what Chiara was making over on her Instagram posts in the run up to their wedding, and then to see it all come together on the day. I really loved her creative use of fun vintage style fabrics to create a welcoming and homely feel in the breakout barn area (complete with funky throws and personalised cushions). Having seen an awesome picture of them all hung up on a washing line prior to the wedding, I was most excited to see the pastel rainbow doilies the Chiara made for each guest’s placemat. I am about as crafty as a bucket of fish, so I really enjoy seeing people’s DIY projects come to life, and I’m certainly picking up tips for my own wedding! Chiara wore the most amazing summery wedding dress from Flossy & Willow – a proper vintage stye dress you could really be comfortable in, and Dan’s tie matched her love of kitch fabric.
Chiara and Dan’s Caswell House wedding was all about party and informality, so with their bright colours and decor, they had a wonderfully fun and lad back day. Having met not only Chiara and Dan but also Chiara’s family prior to the wedding (her Mum makes lovely cake!) it was really nice to see everyone again and I really felt like I was part of their big day. Massive thank you to Chiara and Dan and their families for having me!
