Fun DIY wedding – Lauren and Ewan’s colourful, floral wedding, with a massive wedding quiz!
Lauren and Ewan wanted a family-orientated, informal, and nature filled wedding day, and with their reception being at Norwood place barn, they couldn’t have asked for any more beautiful nature! The grounds are surrounded with willow trees, a lake, woodland and all sorts of beautiful flowers – we were lucky to catch it in full blown wisteria season. For their fun DIY wedding, Lauren and Ewan wanted to bring together their favourite elements from past family parties – so after dinner everyone played one massive wedding quiz together!
There were lots of hand made elements to their wedding, with her flower crown, home baked biscuit favours, handmade decorations (check out their painted table plan!) and an absolutely amazing cake made by Lauren. The level of detail on the cake’s botanical icing decorations is incredible! Lauren wore a beautiful vintage style dress by Dig for Victory and bright, colourful florals were abundant! They were married in Guildford registry office before heading over to Norwood farm for a BBQ of their favourite foods, drinks and games.
One thing I have to note about this wedding is that it rained ALL DAY! Not that Lauren and Ewan let that bother them in any way, and they happily ventured out to name the most of the grounds at Norwood farm during a lighter gap in the rain – and actually I have found rain just makes colours come more alive! Everything is a bit more striking and vibrant, and helped along by the lush florals in the gardens, we still shot some beautiful couple photos – and I thank them both so much for trusting me and coming out in the rain!
