Gate street barn wedding photography – Anwen and Stef’s blue coloured and biscuit themed wedding!
Anwen and Stef has a lovely and relaxed wedding at Gate Street barn in Guilford. Since Anwen originally had blue hair when she met Stef, she dyed it back to blue for the occasion (and actually different tones of blue – amazing mermaid hair!). They ran the blue colour scheme throughout the wedding, with bridesmaid’s dresses, bouquets, confetti and table decorations all blue as well. I was super excited not only for the biscuit theme (because who doesn’t love biscuits) but also their evening S’mores making, I had no idea what a S’more was, I only knew it involved melting various sweet things, which is always going to be tasty fun. Since they both met in a Ninjitsu group, their customised wedding cake toppers were Ninja versions of themselves, which I thought was an awesome touch.
Anwen and Stef’s wedding was so much fun – all their guests were super lovely, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed all the lawn games, table football, thumb wars (groomsmen took that very seriously), taking selfies with the barn’s resident cows and playing the quiz Anwen and Stef laid on over dinner. I had loads of fun with the bridal party, showing off their striped socks like gentlemen, and throwing the (false flower) bouquets!
We were actually lucky enough to not only have a gorgeous golden hour at their engagement shoot, but also one on their wedding day, so after dinner we headed off round the barn for some couple portraits in lovely evening light, and I think it made Anwen’s hair look even more vibrant and amazing.
I had so much fun with Anwen and Stef, one of the best things about this job is meeting so many new people, and I’m so pleased to genuinely call them friends (and fellow Once Upon a Time lovers). Thanks so much for having me for your Gate Street barn wedding photography!
