Trafalgar Tavern wedding – a funky vintage London pub wedding in Greenwich. Lottie and Mike are some of the smiliest, happiest couples I have ever photographed, and even their registrar commented on how excited Lottie was to marry Mike! Both Lottie and Mike work in the pub industry, so naturally they wanted a London pub wedding, complete with many a gin bottle for decor.
The Trafalgar Tavern is an awesome pub in Greenwich, right on the banks of the Thames. It’s licensed for both ceremonies and reception, so it’s a great space if you want a pub wedding all in one place. Just wandering outside or looking through the window gives you fantastic views across the river to the o2. When I arrived to see Mike ahead of the ceremony, there was a wee riverbank beach outside the pub, but when I left in the evening the tide had come up so much, the whole river was up against the pub itself. The views across the river at night are also fantastic!
I started the day with Mike arranging his buttonholes for his groomsmen and family, before heading in to the lovely ceremony room upstairs at the Trafalgar Tavern. Lottie and Mike has a ceremony full of laughs, confetti on the stairs and portraits (again full of laughs!) outside the pub by the Thames. We were even lucky enough to have a golden hour later on for some more riverside portraits in the sun. In the evening, guests watched the sunset through the window over the Thames, and then danced the night away with confetti cannons. I really loved shooting this Trafalgar Tavern wedding with Lottie and Mike, and I’m hoping to come back to this awesome venue for future pub weddings!
